Witch Hazel is great as an astringent for oily skin, very gentle and doesn't dry your skin.
Homemade Natural Hair Care
Lemon juice gives you highlights - but if you use too much your hair goes like straw so you have to use conditioner as well! Also, don't go swimming for a few days other wise you'll end up with green hair.
Natural Beauty Recipes - Herbal Recipes
Chamomile is great for blonde hair! Add a spoonful of honey to a cup of chamomile tea let it cool and use it as a rinse.
A small cup of coffee can add depth and shine to brunette or darker hair! Don't use instant - if you can help it, use leftover cafetiere coffee or espresso if you can get your hands on it! Let the coffee cool and pour it in your hair leave it in for 10 minutes then rinse it out!
For russet tones use a cup of rosehips tea as a rinse.
Henna is great for giving you a hint of red tones! Easy to use just mix it into a paste leave in hair for a couple of hours then wash if off!
I doubt you will, but NEVER be tempted to dye with food dye! At the first hint of rain, the color will pour down your face, not a good look!

Natural Beauty Recipes : Hemp
Benefits of Hemp Seed for
Natural Skin Care
You're looking at your diet as a whole, and one of the things you want to incorporate is more essential fatty acids. Your probably right thinking that's the culprit behind your dry skin and hair. You're looking for a good replacement for those granola bars you get from the supermarket--they're basically just candy. Well, I discovered that a wonderful, little-known source of essential fatty acids is Hemp.
Surprised?
I was too! Hemp seed has a lot of nutritional benefits.
Do you know Hemp seed oil is actually better for you than flax seed oil?
Yeah, that one caught me by surprise too.
In terms of skin care, essential fatty acids are present in the makeup of skin and are needed to make more skin. They play multiple roles. Studies have shown that the fatty acids can help to manage acne as well as conditions like psoriasis.
Here are a few facts I discovered:
• Hemp seed oil has more Omega-3 fatty acids than flax seed oil.
• Hemp seed oil does not have a fishy taste or odor.
• Hemp seed oil is rich in natural vitamin E and does not require additional supplementation of vitamin E as fish oil does.
• Fish oil has potential contamination with mercury, dioxins, and PCBs.
• Flax seed oil is controversial as a supplement in women that have estrogen dominant conditions such as breast cancer, fibroids, endometriosis, etc. because it contains chemicals that act as phytoestrogens whereas Hemp contains no such phytoestrogens.
You can add hemp to your diet very easily. You can buy Hemp protein powder and add it to smoothies. There's also Hemp nut butter, and of course you can add either to various organic recipes.

Natural Beauty Recipes : Raw Honey
Honey is composed primarily of the sugars glucose and fructose and some water. The honey you buy in your local grocery store is only good as a sweetener because it has been homogenized–heated and purified. The enzymes, phytonutrients, resins and propolis are all gone. The delicate aromas and enzymes which activate vitamins and minerals in the body are destroyed.
In its natural state, raw honey is a superfood with medicinal properties. Raw honey can raise antioxidant levels in the body, restore muscle glycogen after a workout, and help lower cholesterol and the risk of certain cancers. As a topical substance, it can decrease infection and work just as well as alcohol solutions.
Raw honey appears milkier and contains particles and flecks made of bee pollen, propolis, honeycomb bits, and fragments of broken bee wings. Don’t go yuck. This is the good stuff that’s healthy for you. Also, raw and unfiltered honey is relatively low in moisture content and has a high antioxidant level.
If you’re thinking of reducing the amount of sugar in your diet, raw honey is a good substitute.
* One cup of honey contains ¼ cup water. As a rule, when you replace sugar with honey, cut the liquid by ¼ cup.
* When you use honey in cake and cookie recipes, prevent burning by lowering your oven temperature by 25 degrees.

1. With a blender, make a fine powder of mung beans and put aside.
2. Dampen a face cloth in warm tea such as sage or warm water with a few drops of essential oils such as lavender or rose. Then lay the cloth over your face for 10-15 minutes to loosen dirt, oil, and debris on your skin.

4. Wash off after 3 minutes of scrubbing.
